Well, blogging is entirely new to me. The only reason I even started this blog is because my brother recently went to China and started a blog to record his adventures there. And since I'm starting a new chapter in my life, I thought it might be a good idea to write about my experiences too!
So here I am in Provo, UT having just finished school at BYU-Idaho. I'm currently teaching second grade in Spanish Fork. Not too sure if teaching is my calling in life. I love my students but not necessarily my job. Some days are a joy; other days are simply exhausting.
While I am not a student at BYU, I am in a student ward. It's not your typical BYU ward though. Most of the members are done with their undergrads. Some are working on a master's, and a few are working on a doctorate. Those who aren't going to school are pretty well settled into a career. At 21 years of age, I am the baby of the ward.
My first few weeks here in Provo and of work were horrible. Everything was new, unfamiliar, and difficult. Fortunately, I've become used to the area, and I know what's expected of me. I'm learning to blossom where I'm planted. After all, happiness is the object and design of our existence. So why not choose to be happy?
